FAQ

Everything you need to know.

The questions parents and new starters ask us most. Anything else, just get in touch.

Do I need any experience?

No. Every class welcomes complete beginners, and our instructors will help you settle in from your first session.

How old do you need to be?

Generation X is for children aged 4 to 7, Cadets for ages 8 to 15, and our Adults class is for anyone 16 and over. If you’re not sure which suits, just ask.

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Your trial class is free, so you or your child can try it before deciding to join. Send us a message using the form below to book.

What should we wear to the first class?

Comfortable sportswear such as tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt. We train barefoot, so no trainers are needed. Bring a bottle of water.

Do I need to buy a uniform?

Not straight away. Once you’ve decided to join, we’ll help you get a dobok (Taekwon-Do uniform) through the club.

How does grading work?

Students work through the coloured belts from white to black, grading when they’re ready. Generation X children earn six achievement badges before their first grading.

Is Taekwon-Do safe for children?

Yes. Classes are structured and supervised by experienced black belt instructors, and younger children learn through games and drills. Sparring is introduced gradually with protective kit.

How much does it cost?

Get in touch using the form below and we’ll let you know current fees for your chosen class and venue.
